Our concept of a house is what we call a PLAYHOUSE!
PLAYHOUSES are contemporary houses designed as a sophisticated stylistic box rich with exciting features. PLAYHOUSES are fun to live in, houses full of drama, houses that trigger your creativity and stimulate your imagination, inspiring environments to raise kids, these are houses you have to take a stroll through to have the full impact of the experience, photographs may not do it for you because you have to be immersed into the spaces. Some people actually think the photographs are tricks in Photoshop and not reality. These are houses to pilgrim to, houses you simply must visit to experience their reality.
Over the last 15 years we have invented a design and production machine in Nigeria that delivers these houses to the highest specs circumventing the challenges of construction in Nigeria.
These projects are tailored like the making of a bespoke fitted suit, they are created by walking through the spaces and reacting to the views, vistas and the light, it can likened to a sculptor making a masterpiece with our workers being the hands of the sculptor. For this reason, we advice clients that if you take our drawings without our being on LOCATION you may not get the full impact of these amazing structures, they evolve, they emerge, you discover them, because at PLAY we do not believe architecture ends in the studio, buildings are orchestrated on site like a master conductor PLAYING music, like a director directing a movie script ,for us at PLAY we call our sites "LOCATIONS" and the switching on of the lights at the end of the project "SHOWTIME" that's when the cameras come in and we start shooting, at PLAY we love photography we actually think in PHOTOFRAMES
